Access Therapy Services, Inc. is a private speech pathology practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our practice is focused on helping those individuals who have speech and swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), both children and adults.
Our work with children include the innovative use of the TalkTools© program to develop the speech and swallowing musculature for adequate function. Use of the tools increases the muscular strength so that traditional speech and swallowing therapy results in faster results.
Our work with adults focuses on restoration of swallowing dysfunction (dysphagia) for patients who have experienced stroke, head/neck cancer and head/neurological trauma.
Our work with head/neck cancer survivors has led to innovative treatments to restore saliva as a result of radiation to the saliva glands (xerostomia) and restoration of the swallow muscles affected by radiation and/or surgical resection.
Our treatments have helped both patients who are currently receiving treatment for head/neck cancers, as well as those who have completed their chemotherapy/radiation therapy treatments but are left with a substandard quality of life due to the inability to eat and drink normal food and liquid textures.
